About Cindy

Someone asked me recently what Gott–acre-8 meant. I did a double take and a little head shake, because it surprised me – how could someone not get the meaning?  Then I sat back for a moment and realized. . .  GottaCre8! is my brainchild and makes total sense to me, but to the world at large it might mean that I have 8 acres somewhere I gotta do something with.  Honestly, I wish I had 8 acres some where, but that is not what GottaCre8! is about.

GottaCre8 was originally my AOL screen name.  I gotta create, that’s me.  From the time I was 8 years old and learned to cook and sew in 4-H I knew that I wanted to create, I just wasn’t sure what.  My creativity came with me at birth, factory installed, and it has been humming along ever since.  I thought I must become an artist of some sort, but nothing really stuck.  Maybe a writer, or a fashion designer, a poet, or possibly a famous glass artist? I loved to create most anything, and I have, but as I grew older and wiser and truly began to know myself, I realized it was the process of creating that I loved.

When I was in the process of creating time stood still and I felt completely present; it was my connection to something greater than me. I am not an artist, I am a creator!

In the early 90’s I began facilitating workshops based on the book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.  My motivation behind it in the beginning was selfish – I wanted to be part of a group of people discovering their creative connection.  I had compartmentalized my creativity – I would get it out when I wanted to create something and then put it away and go back to my “real” life.  This was causing me much grief and I knew I needed to embrace and own that part of myself and become one!  And that is exactly what I did.  It was life changing!  I have been working in creative recovery ever since.  My joy now is helping other people through that process and living more meaningful, authentic lives.

The most important idea that I want to promote is that creativity is something that everyone has – it is as much a part of us as the breath we breathe or the blood running through our veins.   Each of us is a creator – our own life is our greatest creation.  Creativity is not just for the selected few – artists, writers, actors, musicians – it belongs to us all.

Creating a rich, meaningful and joy filled life is quite an undertaking. As we all know, there are so many struggles in life; career, family, health, financial issues and other concerns.  Everyone is looking to have a better life, and some don’t feel equipped with the tools to achieve it.  For that reason GottaCre8 was transformed into GottaCre8! Your Best Life.

GottaCre8! Your Best Life provides Life Coaching and Workshops to enable people to create their unique life and begin to reach their goals and live more fully.  This is something I am passionate about and I look forward to every day and every opportunity to meet people and be a witness to the discovery of their own greatness!

My life has been an adventure, a journey of discovery and recovery.  I have overcome major life obstacles and recognize them now as my greatest teachers.  It was those experiences that allowed me to be the seeker of knowledge, connection, and self-realization that eventfully led me to accept my own greatness. I am filled with gratitude for my life, my passion and my purpose.  Today I am living my Best Life!

I would love the opportunity to work with you as you discover your dreams and become the creator of your best life!  The process is amazing and life changing.  Call or email me anytime.

In the spirit of creativity,

                 Cindy
